Bragi was a student of Eirikur Smith for many years. He also attend various art courses, for example watercolour classes at the Art School of Kópavogur under the guidance of Sigtryggur Baldursson and in oil painting where Bjarni Sigurbjörnsson and Stephen L. Stephen were his teachers.

Bragi has a passion for motifs in the land- and seascape around him on the south west peninsula of Iceland. He has also an interest in illustrating people at work in their environment as well as painting birds and other animals.

He has taught art at the local high school for the past 16 years as well as holding adult courses in art, primarily in drawing and colour theory.
