Our fourth society exhibition was held this year in Gallery Göng. The opening evening was well attended by more than 100 guests.

 

In May we advertised amongst all members of the society that everyone could send in photos of a maximum of 3 original paintings. We received 176 entries from 63 members which means most used the opportunity to send in 3 photos.

 

Unfortunately we only had space for 55 – 60 paintings therefore as in previous years we appointed a jury to select the exhibited paintings from all the entries. Once again our jury was international: Louise Harris from UK, Sigga Björg Sigurðardóttir from Iceland and Vicente Garcia Fuentes from Spain. They selected 58 paintings from 45 artists.

 

The exhibition was well received and the guests have commented favourably on the variety shown by the exhibited paintings.
