Having studied French for 4 years at university, Hrönn decided to follow her dream and went to study graphic design at the Icelandic Academy of the Arts from which she graduated in 1993. It was the artist and teacher at the academy, Gunnlaugur St. Gíslason who introduced her to watercolour. For many years after graduating she was one of a group which met up to paint at Gunnlaugur‘s home. Subsequently she attended the Kopavogur Art School where her teachers were Derek Mundell and Stephen Stephen.

 

Hrönn has taken part in three group exhibitions.
