KRISTÍN
TRYGGVADÓTTIR

Kristín is an active member of an artists’ cooperative studio called Art 11 at Auðbrekka 10, Kópavogur. She graduated with a teaching degree and subsequently studied at the Icelandic Academy of the Arts, the Reykjavík Art College and Kópavogur Art School as well as numerous workshops in Denmark and Italy. She is a member of the Association of Icelandic Visual Artists and the Icelandic Printmakers’ Association. Kristín has held numerous solo exhibitions and taken part in group exhibitions in Iceland, Denmark, Italy, New York, Sweden, UK and Finland.
Kristín’s work reflects her interest in dimension, a varied expression in the language of art with connections to the infinite world of the remote and the proximate. She interprets her world near and far, from the metaphysical and invisible down to our very own footprints. Earth, heavens, symbols, balance and beauty.
