María (b.1946) first attended a course of drawing at the Reykjavík School of Art and this led on to many art courses in the Art School of Kopavogur, primarily in watercolour.

She has also attended numerous shorter courses and workshops both in Iceland and abroad.

 

María has held nine solo exhibitions in Iceland and one in Japan. In addition she has taken part in 20 group exhibitions in Iceland, one in Wales and three in Shu Ogawara Museum, Japan.
