MATHILDE
MORANT

Mathilde Morant.jpg

Mathilde Morant is a French artist currently living in Reykjavík. She studied applied arts and design and obtained a M.A. degree in stage design in 2017 in France. She recently focused her practice on watercolour landscapes, seeking inspiration during long hikes alone in nature.

Her current project, Viti Project, started in 2018, consists of making watercolours of Icelandic lighthouses in their environment. This commitment has led her to explore every corner of the island, living in her campervan during the summer months, sometimes driving or hiking in the most inhospitable weather in order to reach her destination and paint.
