Herman Pekel (Australia) held two workshops in June for 22 members. The weather at that time was not good so we only managed to go out once when it actually stopped raining. Normally he said, he wouldn‘t go out unless the temperature was above 20°C but he was evidently becoming acclimatised after being here for 5 days!

 

Herman is primarily a landscape artist and he entertained the groups with two demos of Icelandic scenes every day. Occasionally he admitted to defeat when his methods just did not work for the textures in the landscape.
