ÓLÖF SVAVA
GUÐMUNDSDÓTTIR

Ólöf Svava is a pre-school teacher who has specialised in teaching art and has worked in that field for the past 35 years. She has also taught watercolour painting to adults for one year at the "Art Schoool" of Kopavogur.
Ólöf has participated in many courses and workshops in art notably in the Art School of Kopavogur under the direction of Derek Mundell (watercolour) and Ingiberg Magnússon (life drawing) as well as with foreign artists Bridget Woods and Ann Larsson Dahlin.
„Watercolour has always fascinated me. It is the origin of ideas and fantasies. Their transparency and other unique properties encourage creation. The result is not always predictable but rather a type of mystery tour. The enjoyment of creation and painting improve life and make it more interesting.“
