RAGNA
MARTEINSDSDÓTTIR

Ragna commenced her art education at Akureyri High School and subsequently graduated from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts as a graphic designer. Her education strengthened her skills in drawing as well as painting in oils and watercolour. After graduating she worked in graphic design and now runs her own design and print company together with her husband. Colour and form have therefore always been a part of her work. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoor life as well as painting especially with watercolour.

Ragna is a great animal lover and horse rider so that animals are often the subject of her art. Ragna is basically a naturalist but often paints impressionistically so that the appearance of objects, men and animals can become turbulant in colour and form. She has taken part in one group exhibition .
