THE STORY OF WATERCOLOUR
AT THINGVELLIR
27th May 2021
The art historian Aðalsteinn Ingólfsson gave a talk on the story of watercolour at Thingvellir. In one hour he covered all of the masters, past and present, who have captured various aspects of the ancient parliament site in watercolour. As expected this was supported by a wide ranging selection photos of the paintings which have been inspired by this place. The talk was well received and was followed by a lively discussion.
