Sigriður Ásgeirsdóttir, known to everyone as Systa, studied art at the Art Schools of Reykjavík and Kópavogur. Her main teachers were Erla Sigurðardóttir (watercolour), Derek Mundell (watercolour) and Ingiberg Magnússon (life drawing). She has also attended numerous workshops notably with Bridget Woods, Keith Hornblower and Ann Larsson-Dahlin.
