IN GOOD WEATHER

Even though there weren‘t many sunshine hours here in Reykjavík this summer, we managed to find the one day when the sun shone and the wind was calm. Fourteen artists came to join us and enjoy themselves. It‘s never easy painting outside – the light is always changing and shadows are moving. And then it‘s a question of what to paint! From where we stood we had the mountain Esja, Videy Island, the shoreline of Reykjavík, angelica flowerheads at our feet and sometimes even the Snæfell glacier on the horizon.
